Development / External Editor setup
February 22, 2019, 08:36:57 PM
An external editor is one of the features outlined in Solarus 1.6. How do I set it up? I have downloaded ZeroBranestudio and connected it in the Solarus Text editor preferences but scripts still open up in the default editor.

Edit: Ok I found a reference in solarus gitlab:
https://gitlab.com/solarus-games/solarus/tree/dev/work/ZBStudioPlugin

I followed the instruction in the doc (added the 3 files) but I'm still not able to see the Solarus option in lua interpreter in Zerobranes

I am using macOS

I am also using Visual Studio Code. Unfortunately, you will not get the intellisense for solarus functions as you get with JAVA methods/functions.

PS. For JAVA you should try IntelliJ (not free but you can get a student license usually). It is on another level compared to Eclipse.

The issue solved itself after restarting solarus

Hello!

When I enter the full-screen mode in solarus quest editor (1.5.3) all it does is it creates a black border around the editor and the editor itself stayed unchanged. I am using macOS High Sierra.

Thanks!

Hello!
I tried to download Solarus today for my Ubuntu 18.04 but there is an build error on the download page. Is there another easy way to install Solarus on Ubuntu? Thank you!
