How bout having an options tab in the upper left hand corner of the screen so you can bind resizing things to another key?
This signature was way too long before, but now it's short!

Do you ever get the feeling that the fandom of a product(s) ruin the potential that you could have had to enjoy the product?

You mean the possibility to change keyboard shortcuts?
Clearly this should make everyone happy, yes :)

Just to give an update, I am currently working on the resizing mode of tiles, it should be done soon :)
And? Got it working? Included in the next update?

Yes it is done, it will be included in Solarus Quest Editor 1.5.
You can already see the result in the live-streaming I did last week (in French)
https://www.livecoding.tv/video/lets-make-zelda-mercuris-chest-3-12/
Smart resizing is shown between 4mn30 an 9mn30.

Here i am again.

I got another idea that would be very helpful.

Lock a tile.
This way you can't accidentally move a tile when selecting it (or when you do a multi-selection on a lot of tiles).

You can already choose some tiles and ignore others to move/resize by holding down the Ctrl key when selecting said tiles. If you accidentally move a tile, you can always undo with Ctrl+Z.
