Title: Creating .dat file for tilesets
Post by: Anoroah on November 02, 2015, 04:37:33 PM
Hallo everyone, i was watching the youtube tutorials for Solarus (i am on 9 atm) and i was wondering if there is any software to create the .dat files for the tilesets. I found RoughIngot's compiler on the forum. Is there any other software / way to create those files?

Tilesets can be created from the quest editor like other data files. You can watch this tutorial about that: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uh4aHJcEHQE&list=PLzJ4jb-Y0ufySXw9_E-hJzmzSh-PYCyG2&index=49 It only exists in French for now, but even without sound the video can be very helpful.

It is possible from directly from the editor, the video tuto is about the old editor though.

Right click on tileset, click new, and enter your tileset name, it should automatically generate the .dat
